Dr. Whyte’s goal of helping patients achieve a healthy life style led to the creation of an important local charity event in 2002. Louisiana Pain Physicians, Cornerstone Rehabilitation and the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Foundation annually present the Back in Swing™ fundraiser.
This interactive golf seminar/clinic was Dr. Whyte’s brainchild. The event is believed to be the only one of its kind in the United States to combine the disciplines of medicine, physical therapy and golf. Back in Swing™ provides golfers or weekend warriors an education on the prevention and treatment of spinal injury and back pain.

Local and national professional golfers (such as Senior PGA player Terry Dill), corporations and foundations assist with this annual fall event that continues to raise important dollars for the support of LSUHSC Foundation.
